Preface:
I'd never thought living alone would be so… lonely. Eventually, the feeling of need sinks in. Need for Companionship, Friendship, … Love. With the sun high above your head and the wind blowing freely through your fur, you'd feel complete, right? At least you should. Now, I feel disserted, cut off, abandoned.  Will anyone ever find me, or will I live incomplete forever?

Vince
With footsteps the size of an infant's head, the ink black wolf slowly picked up and dropped his feet in the biting snow. With his paws about ready to fall off, he halted his stride and sat down; curving his tail over his toes. His eyes scanned the barren valley; seeing nothing but forever stretching snow. His eyes began to feel weary, and he laid his maimed body to the ground- nesting his snout in his bushy tail. He listened to the hollow beating in his chest, were his heart was supposed to be. It felt empty to him – useless. Although, Vince felt the need to go on, like there was something important out there for him. Hope possibly. As time passed, his thoughts traveled far off into his dreams, and he slipped into a deep slumber.
The powerful jaws of the alpha snapped at his neck.
"Away with you!" he bellowed.
Vince scurried off; his feet feeling like rubber. He ran and ran and couldn't stop. He was running into forever darkness. Yelling and screaming blared in his ears.
"Go a!" "Such a disappointment!" "Good riddance!" "How could he be the Alpha's son?" "He doesn't belong."
The faster Vince tried to get away, the slower his legs moved. Disparity washed over him and dragged him to the floor. The black wolf laid there, listening to the remarks play over and over in his head like a broken record. He doesn't belong. He doesn't belong. He doesn't belong...
The chilling snips of the cold disturbed Vince's sleep, and he lifted his head drowsily. With weak limbs, he pushed himself up to his feet. He shook his paws and tail to wake them up, too. Fully alive now, he resentfully marched forward again, hoping for some sign of a river. He hadn't drank anything in days- only the melted snow and blood of mouse, which hadn't been exceedingly filling. Today maybe he could even find prey. His hopes sparked.
He raised his slender muzzle towards the cloudy, grey sky, and sniffed the aroma of the air. It smelled like water!
Vince's ears shot forward as he listened with anxiety building in his chest. Not until he heard the pop of the water did he realize how avid he was for a drink. Without thinking, his legs bound ahead, running in the direction of the source.
With aching paws, the wolf finally reached the river bay. He licked his lips and happily dunk his mouth into the churning water. Although the coldness tore at his nose, he sucked in the water eagerly. Finally, after he quenched his thirst, he decided he wanted to eat now, too. He hadn't seen live game around in a while. With his hopes still high, he strode north following the waterway.
It was eerily quiet. All Vince could here was the crunch of the snow beneath his paws, the crackling water, and the howl of the wind around his head.  Someone was watching him. He could feel the eyes scorching into his back. His head lashed around towards the only standing tree- cold and bare. His lip quivered as soft murmurs rolled from his throat. Narrowing his eyes, he slowly turned back around. As he pointed forward again, something collided with his face. A loud yelp shot from his bared teeth as he shook his head vigorously – the creature dug its talons into the sides of his head, blood dripping.
Vince's mouth opened and clamped down powerfully on the animal's underbelly. It was a crow – a big crow. After the bird released an ear piercing squeal – which gave Vince an uneasy feeling – it hung lifelessly from the wolf's jaws.
Spitting out the foul tasting pheasant, Vince walked down to the creek to clear his face of blood. He glanced back over at the dead bird. His eyes turned to slits as he noticed the crow was in a different spot than where he'd dropped it. He began to feel woozy and figured he must just be hungry. He strode forward again.

It's been three days, no food. It's been 67 miles, on land and water. Vince felt as if he was about to collapse from exhaustion. Lately, he'd been hearing wings, flying, but nothing in sight. Craziness, he thought to himself, I'm going crazy and I can't hold it together.
He shook his head and told himself to keep going. And so that's exactly what he did. He pushed himself through the harsh winter's blizzard and ignored the hunger pains, the loneliness; the heart aches.

Ravine
Ravine cheerfully trotted up to the alpha - shaking stray chocolate brown hairs out of her eyes. Her tail flicked delightedly as she dropped the prey before him.
"I killed this rabbit for you, Alpha Reiku." Her voice chimed.
With an approving nod, Reiku caressed the dead animal in his jaws – signaling for her to retreat. She turned with a smile and walked the other way.
"You're such a kiss up, you know that?" Meg scoffed, kicking snow at her sister.
Ravine's eyes furrowed and she nipped at the deep blue fur at Meg's neck. "At least I can walk three miles without complaining 'my paw hurts, can we stop?'" The brown wolf mimicked.
A growl rolled from Meg's teeth and she shoved Ravine down to her side. "At least I have balance." Rolling her eyes, she sauntered away.
Pushing herself up, Ravine shook the loose snow off her caramel brown coat and followed the multi-colored wolf. Just beside them, the pack enjoyed a relaxing evening – getting away from the traveling for a while. Keegan was off on the hunting trip; accompanied by Silverside and Fie Lie. Static drowsily law in the snow, trying to heat his metallic white hairs with Shasta planted next to him, her eyes locked on a nearby butterfly.
As Ravine stumbled over her feet, she caught up to Meg and opened her mouth to make a comment. Something was gnawing at the edge of her mind and she was confused as to what it was. "Something's bothering me."
"Yea?" Meg said with no obvious interest.
"I can't figure out what it is. But it's sad."
"Okay? And you expect me to know?"
Ravine's mouth clamped shut, her stride an automatic stop, and her eyes distant.
Meg looked over her shoulder and slowly halted. "What, gotta crap or something?" She laughed to herself, but the humor slowly faded as Ravine made no movement to fight back.
"Ravine…?" Meg cautiously walked to her sister and nudged her snout. "Hey, what's your problem?"
A short gasp filtered into Ravines lungs and, as creepy as it seemed already, a smile arose on her face. With a cautious step back, Meg nudged her again.
"Reiku!" Ravine blurted, Meg jumped and fell to her haunches.
"Yes, Ravine?" Reiku asked as he approached her slowly.
Ravine giggled and leaned forward, their faces almost touching as she whispered, "Here comes another one."
Knowing exactly what she meant, Reiku nodded. "And when will he be arriving?"
As confused as she usually is, this wasn't helping Meg at all. "May I ask, what the hell you guys are talking about?!"
Ignoring the rude comment, Ravine continued, "About a mile away"
He nodded again, "Then we have no time to waste. What time will the hunters be arriving back?"
"Right now, chief!" Keegan said, bouncing up behind him with a gleaming smile on his face.
Reiku sighed. "I told you not to call me that."
"Yea, yea," Keegan answered sarcastically. "Now what'cha need?"
Silverside and Fie Lie were just behind him, hauling each end of a small 400 pound moose. Fie Lie's fiery orange tail swished from side to side as she gracefully hauled it with pride. Although, much less excitement rolled from the bored face of Silverside – her green eyes tired.
"What I need is for you to save some of the" Reiku looked at the moose distastefully, "meat, and keep everyone under control. We're staying another night." He turned and walked the other way.
A surprised look came upon Keegan's face and he bound ahead to talk with Reiku – shoulder to shoulder. As Keegan brushed against Ravine, a blush dusted her cheeks and she was glad the fur would hide it from him.
"Another night?" Keegan asked.
"Ravine predicted another new comer and he's only a mile away this time." Reiku answered.
Keegan's foot falls deceased and he looked ahead dumbfounded.
"So, hurry up now. Let's get that moose eaten. Save some for the new-comer." Reiku ordered.

Meg
Meg didn't feel like eating tonight. Instead, she went on a walk, like she usually did. She enjoyed the time she had to herself; away from all the chaos and work of the pack. Her mind drifted as she imagined herself in an open prairie, running, enjoying life. Her eyes were closed and she could feel the wind beat against her face and feel her paws slap against the perfect green grass.
In reality, Meg's eyes really were closed and the time escaped from her. To Meg it has been a short 15 minutes, but in actuality she had been walking for an hour and a half.
Suddenly, the slender female fell over a heap and landed with her chin in the snow. She growled as she stood, shook her fur, and turned around. A pure black wolf stared intently at her, his legs crossed, his ears back. His eyes were not filled with anger, but fear; wonder.

Vince
She had a brown muzzle that faded into a grey-blue, which made its way to her neck scruff and down the flat of her back. Her under-belly was off white that flowed into the black located on her legs. Her structure was lean and graceful. Beautiful.
Vince blinked his eyes as his head fell to a slight tilt. The girl wolf looked at him with confusion. She didn't know what to say, he could tell.
Finally, she slurred the word, "Hello."
Vince remained motionless.
"Are you ok?" Meg asked. Blank stare.
I found this story from when I was in middle school. It's alright, should I finish it???

Tell me what you think!!! ^^
